Prophetic Art is a relatively new movement, largely unknown by the broader contemporary art community. Although there is great diversity amongst artists, the unifying element is the source of content, with variations on the theme of receiving, analysing and refiguring of spiritual insight into an act of art making, resulting in a form of physical prayer or commentary, as part of religious practice. While mainstream art expects the artist to draw upon pre-established rhetoric and visual tropes very separate from the notion of a god, contemporary prophetic art practice does not separate creativity from religious spirituality.

Both my personal works and university explorations have been, from the earliest days, very spiritual in both purpose and execution.

I find that many people are deeply interested in receiving a personal prophetic artwork. The commissioning of such work poses a dilemma in regard to the pricing. I will never charge money for a personal prophetic word. If I claim to be the messenger, then the message originates and belongs to God, therefore who am I to request payment for that which is not mine. The image, message or narrative that I receive is however subject to my own artistic interpretation. Commissions take into account the amount of money you wish to invest in the artwork, medium, size and detail. A small pencil work on paper will cost much less than a large acrylic canvas, but the message or prophetic word will remain the same.
